Originally hailing from Los Angeles, Catrina started performing at age 4 with Bill Edward’s On Stage, a local variety show. She received her dance education from Houston Jazz Ballet Company's creator, Patsy Swayze, where she studied multiple disciplines in addition to performing professionally with Patsy’s Dancer’s Studio. Catrina then shifted her focus to training in classical voice. After studying vocals with Jim Wilber for several seasons, she continued her education in Opera and Classical Ballet at Cal State Fullerton.

Catrina has starred in dozens of musicals with career highlights as Reno Sweeney(Anything Goes), Anita(West Side Story), Aldonza(Man of La Mancha), Millie(Seven Brides for Seven Brothers), Tiger Lily(Peter Pan), and Mary Magdalene(Jesus Christ Superstar). She has enjoyed featured dance roles in music videos for a diverse group of performers, including She and Him(Zooey Deschanel), Bone Thugs-N- Harmony, and even a tribute to philanthropist, Eli Broad. Catrina was also honored to perform as Lead Vocalist alongside Cirque du Soleil in Spectrum-La Pointe's “Celebration USA” at the Rose Bowl. Most recently, Catrina participated in The Jim Henson Company's Puppeteer Training Initiative and has since worked as a puppeteer assistant on AppleTv+’s Slumberkins and Coldplay’s “Biutyful” official video.

In 2009, Catrina created CatrinaQ Performing Arts in order to offer a safe, nurturing place for diverse actors invested in thinking outside the box, all while bringing joy to their community. CQPA offers private instruction in Voice(Classical, Broadway, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Folk), Dance(Jazz, Theatrical Movement, Ballet, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Bellydance, Beginner Tap), and Fitness(Zumba ZIN, Yoga, Mat Pilates). The company also includes group instruction and a repertory troupe that performs parody musicals and cabarets from Los Angeles to New York City.

Catrina enjoys wearing her choreographer hat, as well. She has staged innumerable musicals over the last two decades with her favorites being The Wiz, Anything Goes, and The Rocky Horror Show Live. Catrina has also choreographed mainstream music videos, quinceaneras, weddings, and dance teams. She’s even designed combinations for football teams, providing confidence, coordination, and team building. Catrina believes that music and dance bring out the best in everyone.

As an educator, Catrina created original course curriculum for St. Genevieve High School while acting as a full time musical theatre teacher, dance instructor, and dance team coach. She also successfully developed and taught a University approved A-G preparatory course in dance at SGHS, while acting as the Resident Choreographer at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. Catrina has generated successful musical theatre programs for numerous thriving studios throughout the LA area, such as Pam Rossi's Dance Ten(Solid Gold Dance), Garri Dance, and Agoura Art Camp. In addition to teaching privately, she currently teaches fitness with Elevated Living and Fitness International. With over 25 years experience, Catrina looks forward to bringing happiness to all she teaches.
